Kris Nimrod Davis Palacio Cabigas, or Borgie, bagged the title of Mr. Cebu 2009, besting 14 other hopefuls. The said event was held last November 28, 2009 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom in Waterfront Cebu City. He received a fifty thousand pesos (Php 50,000.00) cash prize from Bong Bantillan - founder, producer and director of Mr. Cebu and chairman of BCB Production.

Sea turtle nest found in front of San Remigio marine sanctuary


In Barangay Luyang, a coastal village in San Remigio, Cebu, a rare species of turtle have found a haven to nest and breed. Residents are now excitedly awaiting the hatching of sea turtle eggs laid on their seashore in front of the Marine Sanctuary.

Joined hands for local development was the highlights of the Governor�s visit to San Remigio last March 10, 2008 during the consultative assembly with the Governor Gwen F. Garcia, together with all Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, and local government of San Remigio, Cebu headed by Municipal Mayor Mariano R. Martinez, together with Vice Mayor Herman Antonio M. Another technology boost in San Remigio


San Remigio Municipal Building got another upgrade with the installation of 3 motion-sensitive surveillance cameras for security purposes and to monitor employees' activities.

The municipality is also going to automate its payroll generation using a biometric log in/out system. Hence the installation of a fingerprint scanning device, the F4 Finger Scan Time & Attendance System that is connected to the Personnel Office and to the Accounting Office.
